The first funding period of the CGC (CGC I) began in 2005, when the MPG and four companies (Bayer Crop Science and Bayer Schering Pharma, Organon (later Schering-Plough) and Merck Serono) supported five independent research groups. [more]

The  scientific achievements during the first two instalments of the CGC  mirror the high value of the joint initiative for both the research  groups and for the industrial partners. A total of 69 unique research  projects were run and 193 papers were published in peer-reviewed leading  scientific journals. [more]
