The main research site of the CGC is the BioMedizinZentrum (BMZ) in Dortmund. The BMZ in Dortmund is directly adjacent to the MPI of Molecular Physiology and located next to the Campus of Technische Universität Dortmund (TUDo) where it benefits from a strong collaborative, inter-sectorial network of R&D entities such as the MPI, the Lead Discovery Center (LDC) the TUDo, the Compound Management and Screening Center (COMAS) the Zentrum für integrierte Wirkstoffforschung (ZIW) and the Faculty of the International Max Planck Research School in Molecular and Chemical Biology (IMPRS-CB).

This  existing collaborative network, the established know-how and the proven  track record make Dortmund an outstanding, nationally and  internationally well recognized  Drug Discovery partnership center.
